We recently had the opportunity to capture Sky-Frame’s inspiring “Women in Architecture” film premiere event at London’s Sky Garden. This celebration of women in the field was centred around a powerful documentary, and our team was there to capture every moment—from networking to panel discussions—with a focus on candid event photography.
The Team
Dom and Pat led the professional photography efforts, while Robbie handled videography. Dom and Pat both used the NikonD850 ensuring consistent, high-quality images. Robbie worked with two Lumix GH5S cameras to cover the event and a GoPro Hero 11 to collect a time lapse of guests arriving before the screening. The entire shoot, from photography to videography, was focused on documenting authentic moments without interrupting the event’s flow.
Capturing the Atmosphere
The evening began with a lively drinks reception, perfect for candid shots. Pat utilised flash photography to capture arriving guests, while the team photographed and filmed the networking, drinks, and the vibrant setting. As the documentary was screened, they focused on the audience reactions and the emotional moments the film elicited.
Panel Discussions and Evening Celebrations
Following the screening, we captured interviews and a panel discussion about the documentary. We kept our approach candid, allowing the event to unfold naturally. The evening culminated in a colourful reception with a DJ, food and beverages, and entertainment, all of which were captured to reflect the dynamic energy of the night.
