Jess' week of Fun!

August 4, 2017

Hello Lovely People!

Im Jess and I've spent the week working with Capture house along side Jordan and Sam and learning about all the projects they work on.

I started off my first day trying out a software i hadn't used before called 'photo scape x' to add some cool effects to a recent photoshoot Jordan had done. I added some effects such as light leaks and lens flares .. below is an example of a before and after shot i have edited using this software.

I also spent the afternoon looking for some interesting abandoned buildings for some upcoming shoots. I have a very fun photoshoot organised with Sam involving coloured smoke grenades 'Keep an eye out!'

Throughout the rest of the week i worked on putting my own showreel together with the help of Jordan and Sam, there were certain parts i was struggling to get in time with music and they helped me with speeding up and slowing down the clip. It all worked out in the end :)

Friday i assisted Sam with a photoshoot for a girl wanting some headshots and dance pictures taken. I did a bit of research in the week of different poses and possible locations that would be good for this type of shoot. Me and Sam decided on doing the dance pictures in a field behind my house that has incredible views (as you will see from the pictures below). As a dancer myself i liked coming up with different positions for her to try and some of them came out lovely!

I had a play around with another programme called Light Room (with the help of Sam) to try and edit some of the pictures from the above shoot and learnt LOADS!!

Below is a before and after of the picture i edited.

Overall i have had a great week working at Capture House and have learnt so much! The work they produce is incredible and i would highly recommend them to anyone!

Love Jess :)

xx
